The RecycleMe app in Vienna their pilot operation. Since then, according to the operator, more than 130.000 beverage packaging has been collected using the app. With competitions and prizes, the partners from the beverage industry want to motivate users to properly dispose of plastic bottles and aluminum cans.
“The RecycleMich app builds on existing collection structures and reinforces the separation of packaging waste, which is firmly anchored in the everyday life of consumers. Each packaging counts as a lottery ticket with which there are attractive prizes to be won ”, it says in the broadcast.
There are points for every correctly disposed of packaging. To participate, a photo of the yellow bin or the yellow sack must be uploaded via the app and the barcode on the packaging must be scanned. The app was developed by the Reclay Group. The partner companies include Coca Cola, Almdudler, Innocent, Rauch and many more.
