Menschen für Menschen provides emergency aid.
Due to the conflicts in northern Ethiopia, thousands of people are currently on the run. Currently, many refugees are temporarily housed in schools in the cities of Dessie and Kombolcha, among other places. The women, men and children are left with nothing and urgently need our help.
In order to provide the families with an initial bridging aid, Menschen für Menschen started an emergency aid campaign and, as a first step, provided 6200 people with food, hygiene articles and mattresses, among other things.
Together with Menschen für Menschen, country representative Yilma Taye, Menschen für Menschen - ambassador and former marathon runner Haile Gebrselassie was also on hand to distribute the relief goods. "Menschen für Menschen is a real partner for humanitarian aid and the development of the Ethiopian people", he explains his commitment to the organization.
