From fishing nets and oil spills to climate change and plastic pollution, the threats to turtles and other marine life are increasing every day. Now is our chance to turn things around.
Scientists tell us that by 2030 we must protect at least 30% of our world's oceans from overfishing and other destructive practices such as deep-sea mining. Governments around the world are working on a new global ocean treaty. If they do this correctly, the door will open to a vast network of marine protected areas where destructive industries are banned and marine life can recover.
