In Austria there is still no official recommendation to manufacturers to use the Nutri Score and therefore no legal security. The Nutri Score marks food according to a traffic light system. Healthy products are given a dark green A, particularly unhealthy products a deep red E. In Germany, a recommendation for voluntary use was made at the beginning of the year. Consumer advocates are calling for a Europe-wide commitment. You can see what the Nutri Score can do in the video:
