Greenpeace Germany turns 40! The first Greenpeace campaign in Germany took place on October 13, 1980. On this day we stood in rubber dinghies for the first time in the way of a tanker from the chemical company Kronos Titan, which was supposed to conduct diluted sulfuric acid into the North Sea, thus making the contamination of the North Sea public. A lot has happened since then: from the end of commercial whaling to the ban on dumping radioactive and toxic waste in the oceans, from the "Antarctic World Park" to strong participation in the phase out of nuclear power. Nevertheless, we are still a long way from reaching our goal. Because the climate crisis is here and we are right in the middle of it. And time is running out. Now everyone counts.
