Comeback of the old promises: At that time, classical genetic engineering was supposed to stop world hunger - without success. Today, the same corporations are promising that new genetic engineering is the solution to the climate crisis. But is that right?
Genetic engineering companies have invested tens of millions of euros in lobbying in recent years to soften the current EU genetic engineering law for agriculture.
They want to make new genetic engineering socially acceptable and bring it onto the market without a strict approval process. But what does that mean for us consumers? And what about the climate crisis?
In our contribution, two generations meet and make their positions clear: the future lies in sustainable agriculture and self-determined nutrition - which goes hand in hand with real climate and environmental protection.
