New: Emma Goldman Awards for feminism and inequality research

In memory of the feminist activist Emma Goldman (1869-1940), the newly founded, independent FLAX Foundation, based in the Netherlands, launched the Emma Goldman Awards in 2020. The award recognizes innovative research on feminist topics and inequality issues.

The Emma Goldman Awards (EUR 50.000) and the Emma Goldman Snowball Awards (EUR 10.000) will be presented for the first time on February 13, 2020 at the Vienna Institute for Human Sciences (IWM). Both are awarded annually to five to ten selected candidates residing in Europe (regardless of their citizenship or immigration status).
