My Testimony to Congress: Protect Free Speech from Baseless Corporate Lawsuits

Oil and gas companies have hijacked our legal system in an attempt to silence voices like ours. We must stop this rash of SLAPPs - Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation - that threaten free speech and truth in America. We were SLAPPed for uplifting voices from the Indigenous led movement at Standing Rock, but we will not be silenced.

Oil and gas companies have hijacked our legal system to silence voices like ours. We must stop this eruption of SLAPPs - Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation - that are threatening freedom of speech and truth in America. We have been slapped at Standing Rock for the uplifting voices of the Indigenous-led movement, but we will not be silenced. We will fight against these suits - not only for ourselves, but for everyone who uses their voice to fight for a livable planet.
