Activists from the Moechella Juneteenth Celebration in Washington, DC called the U.S. Chamber of Commerce at their headquarters near Black Lives Matter Plaza for blocking black voices and urging their members to break out of the chamber unless it changes theirs Opposition to the For The People act (p. 1).

If passed, p. 1 would strengthen our democracy by ensuring that we all have the freedom to vote securely. The For the People Act would pre-empt many of the anti-voter measures passed across the country that affect disproportionately colored voters, including blacks, Latinx and indigenous communities. The US Chamber is campaigning for Congress to block the law, which is why activists are calling for the Chamber to "stop blocking black voices".
