Thanks to the EDI service provider EDITEL, VeggieMeat is now permanently connected to retailers and other business partners via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). The organic snack manufacturer NUSSYY and the lambskin processor Fellhof are already among the convinced supporters of the climate-friendly EDI trend.
Vienna, March 21.06.2022, XNUMX. VeggieMeat GmbH from St. Georgen am Ybbsfelde is known for its "vegini" brand and is considered a pioneer in the production of meat alternatives from plant proteins. The packaging consists of 90 percent recycled material and now a large number of paper-based business documents are also being banned from the company's office. Orders, delivery notes and invoices, for example, are now only processed fully automatically via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). This is made possible by a solution directly integrated into the BMD merchandise management system by EDITEL, which ensures smooth communication with retailers.
“Sustainability and the conscious use of resources are our top priorities. Accordingly, we want to be resource-saving when working with retailers and other business partners. I am firmly convinced that we have taken an important and correct step here for future-oriented work," explains VeggieMeat CEO Andreas Gebhart. The topic of sustainability runs through all areas of the Mostviertel company - among other things, the company's own solar system covers 15 percent of the electricity requirement, the remaining green electricity is bought in.
Fellhof and NUSSYY are also sustainably on board
In addition to VeggieMeat, the list of customers includes EDIT more and more other "green companies" who have recognized the advantages of EDI for their sustainable strategy. The Fellhof company from Hof near Salzburg, which is well-known for its OEKO-TEX-certified natural products made of lambskin, has also arranged for EDITEL to expand its EDI operation to simplify communication with its sales partners. "In addition to environmental considerations, one of the major advantages of EDI for us is the enormous time saving, since the effort involved in manually entering such a large number of documents would be far too great," Emre Özkan, system administrator at Fellhof, is convinced.

Carina Rahimi-Pirngruber, who has been selling vegan organic products with no added sugar under the brand name NUSSYY for several years, such as bars, mueslis, juices and ready meals, has recently also been offering high-quality natural cosmetics under the Cara Bio Cosmetics by NUSSYY brand. Rahimi-Pirngruber is also convinced that EDI pays full attention to the idea of sustainability, which is also behind their products. NUSSYY, VeggieMeat and Fellhof are therefore fully in line with the digitization trend, as EDITEL Managing Director Gerd Marlovits confirms: "A few years ago, when most companies introduced EDI, the time and cost factors were still in the foreground. 51 Euro savings per Purchase-2-Pay process
However, the economic component of process automation continues to be an important argument: According to international calculations, in a purchase-2-pay process - i.e. from the creation of an order to the delivery note and the payment advice note - by switching to electronic data exchange, up to 51 euros are saved. EDI is not only good for the environment in the long term, but also good for the budget.
