Liberal and conservative language and brain structure

We were all in a situation where we were discussing politics with someone and wanted to change other people's minds. We probably had a lot of passionate arguments that we believed in, but in the end it was all for nothing. But why? Why is it so difficult to help someone else see the value of our arguments? If we want to change the mind of others, we need to understand how they think first. So if you are either a liberal or a conservative thinker, read on and you will find out how to convince everyone of the validity of your ideology.

Unlike Conservatives, Liberals focus on care and equality. Conservatives value patriotism, loyalty, and purity. That is why conservatives will not understand what liberals mean if they present their arguments in a way that speaks to the ethics of their own sides, mainly the ideas of care and equality. If liberals wanted to change the mindset from conservatives to refugees, they should mention that their ancestors just wanted to live the American dream, and that is why refugees chose to come to this country. This message is well linked to patriotism and loyalty, and therefore can be understood by conservatives.

The liberal brain is different from the conservative brain. Scientists have found that liberals have a larger anterior cingulate cortex, which is the part of the brain associated with understanding and monitoring difficult conflicts. Conservatives have a larger amygdala that helps process anxiety and fear. As a result of these different brain structures, liberals and conservatives deal differently with the same stimuli, ie pain and their reactions to the solidity, the observation with which liberals and conservatives work, initially separate material.

Why do people think the way they think? The weather in which we have a more conservative or liberal ideology relates to many different facts. Personal experiences, the environment, education, but also genetics are important components of our attitude. However, this does not mean that we cannot change our ideologies over time.
