“Volkswagen is a major cause of the climate crisis and, like other countries, must adhere to the given three-house gas budget. VW doesn't do that, ”explains lawyer Dr. Roda Verheyen.
She has already represented the constitutional complaint against the inadequate climate protection law of the federal government in court. Now she represents the climate plaintiffs against Volkswagen.
The CO2 footprint of the combustion engine cars sold by Volkswagen is as large as that of all of Australia. In order to get on the 1,5-degree course, VW has to get out of the internal combustion engine worldwide with all brands belonging to the group by 2030.
