Kitchen on The Run - integration goes through the stomach


Young people move through Germany with a mobile kitchen container to bring locals and refugees together. They cook and eat together. Then all wash up together. 

It is well known that love goes through the stomach. Integration too. Refugees and locals cook and eat together in the mobile kitchen container of the “Über den Tellerrand” association. The kitchen container takes four to six weeks "Kitchen on the run“Especially in small towns with around 50.000 residents. The rush is great. The dates of the cooking evenings sponsored by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees are quickly booked up. 

The container will be available until Saturday (September 13.9th) as part of the “Experience in Action! - DesignBuild in Architecture ”in front of the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich. The initiative is currently still looking Partners and sponsors for 2021.
