International communication at eye level

Never heard of Esperanto? Under  event servo   there are hundreds of events where Esperanto is spoken.

Events in Austria:   eventa servo austria

Esperanto is much easier to learn than other foreign languages:

a) The language is agglutinating, so morphemes (word elements) always remain the same in compound words. An example from German is: lernes, lernete, gelernet. But German is also inflective: go, go, go.

b) Every sign is always pronounced the same. There are headings as in other languages.

c) A system of fixed endings enables quick orientation: nouns always end with –o, adjectives always with –a, verbs in the present always with –as and so on. Esperanto is therefore plain text and trains understanding of linguistic structures more than other languages.

d) There is only one conjugation for verbs and only one declination for nouns. Therefore, the speaker can focus on the content and does not have to learn many exceptions.

e) With a manageable number of prefixes and suffixes, many new words can be formed. It is therefore much less vocabulary to be learned.
