foodwatch is now also active in Austria

With immediate effect, foodwatch is also committed to the rights of consumers in the food market in Austria. The new office in Vienna is managed by Lisa Kernegger and Heidi Porstner. They are convinced: “There is a lot to do for foodwatch in Austria too. Food manufacturers far too often deceive us with promising advertising, lure us with supposedly healthy products and promise things that they don't keep. "

According to its own statements, foodwatch is an “independent non-governmental organization (NGO) that keeps an eye on the corporations that expose their unfair practices. An NGO that asserts the interests of consumers against authorities and politics. An NGO that informs people, wakes them up and gives them a voice. An NGO that is fighting for clarity and transparency in the food sector at last. "

foodwatch Austria is part of the non-profit association foodwatch eV based in Berlin. Foodwatch International and foodwatch Germany are also part of foodwatch eV In order to be able to act independently, the association does without state funds and is financed through regular grants and donations.
