In the newly renovated House, fair trade is now even more important...

💡 Fair trade now plays an even more important role in the newly renovated High House. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary in Austria, FAIRTRADE was invited to parliament to get to know the new gastronomy partner KELSEN and to exchange ideas with parliamentarians about the upcoming supply chain law.

📢 "For 30 years, partner companies and civil society, together with FAIRTRADE in Austria, have been making a significant contribution to better living and working conditions in the Global South," says Hartwig Kirner, Managing Director of FAIRTRADE Austria, The new planned EU law amendment - the so-called supply chain law – could now become another milestone for fair trade.

🌍 FAIRTRADE is committed to the rapid implementation of a supply chain law and calls for broad support from local parliamentarians for the future amendment to the law. In the future, this can also ensure that companies that pay attention to sustainability and the protection of human rights are not at a competitive disadvantage.
