Everyone can save up to 9 tons of CO2 annually

An international research team with the participation of the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in Vienna (BOKU) examined 7000 studies on their potential for reducing emissions in the areas of nutrition, mobility and living, from this created the potential of consumption options for climate protection and a top 10 catalog of measures created.

"The implementation of these 10 measures alone would have an enormous reduction potential of up to 9 tons of CO2 equivalents per capita and year, especially in a wealthy and consumption-intensive country like Austria," says co-author Dominik Wiedenhofer from the Institute for Social Ecology at the BOKU.
