Greenpeace Germany turns 40! If you want to know how a small citizens' initiative turned into a large environmental movement, then listen to our podcast series “Now even more”.
In an unprecedented action, Greenpeace activists dared a protest that made them breathless. With the hot air balloon over the guarded border of the GDR. A sign against nuclear armament! In 1983 Berlin was a four-power city, the four allies, Great Britain, France, Russia and the USA were stationed here. So you had four of the right states together against which the protest was directed. Our second episode of the podcast series is not only about protests at dizzying heights, but also about future challenges, about saving the climate and what each individual can do now.
Roland Hipp and Martin Kaiser, Managing Director of Greenpeace Germany, and Gerd Leipold, former Managing Director of Greenpeace International, will speak about these topics.

Greenpeace is an international environmental organization that works with non-violent actions to protect livelihoods. Our goal is to prevent environmental degradation, change behaviors, and implement solutions. Greenpeace is non-partisan and completely independent of politics, parties and industry. More than half a million people in Germany donate to Greenpeace, thereby ensuring our daily work to protect the environment.
