Education changes the future

47% of the population in Rwanda are under 18 years old. Despite the high school enrollment rate, less than half complete a 6-year elementary school. The reasons for this are different: the poverty of the parents, child labor or the poor quality of teaching. But without training, young people have no prospects whatsoever for the future.

This is exactly where it sets in Kindernothilfe self-help group project an: With various vocational training courses, you have the opportunity to sustainably place your future on your own feet. For example, by learning the traditional baking trade: With the know-how to produce the popular Mandazi rolls, the freshly baked specialists have a chance for a better future. With the secure income they can ensure their own existence.

The Lower Austrian master baker Alexander Weinberger this is extremely important. That's why he bakes on Giving Tuesdays Mandazi for a good cause. The donut-like pastries expands the range of the Ybbser and supports the aid project: For every mandazi sold, 50 cents benefit the education of young people.
