(Manila, May 27, 2020) - Thousands of children in the Philippines have suffered permanent physical, emotional, and economic damage from President Rodrigo Duterte's abusive "war on drugs," Human Rights Watch said in a report and video released today. The United Nations Human Rights Council governments in June 2020 should support an independent international investigation into drug killings in the Philippines, including child abuse.
