Do not worry - Column by Gery Seidl

Gery Seidl

Fear is generally a bad companion. How many experiences has each of us already had behind him, wondering why he was afraid of it? But there are also experiences where one thinks after that: "Actually I would have to be afraid."

The media constantly suggests what we need to be afraid of. Too much cholesterol, from global warming, from corruption, from the loss of possessions through fire, hail, lightning and thieves. From cancer. Overweight. Constantly we get presented a new danger. Life is not only life threatening but also deadly.

Once we have become aware of this danger, we are only at the mercy of the religion or its representatives, who want to sell us an armory for the time afterwards. Together we choose a new government every five years. And every five years, a trained leader promises us that she "takes care" of us and that we need not be scared of her at the top.
They regulate our pensions and yet you get less and less. They take care of our health care system and yet, for a long time now, not all of us get the same treatment. They are all "experts" and yet I can not shake the feeling that ultimately no one knows exactly where this ship is heading. In the communities, in the states, in Europe and overseas - because the game makers do not show.

They are stakeholders who manage us and that as long as they are tolerated. If they fall out of favor, they will be exchanged. With gold-plated handshakes, they retreat to their country houses and enjoy life with impunity.

Should I be afraid now? And if so, what? Where would we be without fear? Continue? Happier? Richer? Dead? Is not there a healthy fear? A primitive instinct not to provoke a lion in the wild?

I am not afraid! I try to read between the lines. Facts that can not be explained logically, we can either ignore or ask until we have struggled to their origin. In a large number of cases, the explanation will be the economic profit of a few. Once we understand that, we can change it for ourselves.

It is not logical for me to explain why a tomato from Spain, which has a European tour behind it, cheaper to acquire, as the Paradeiser from the neighboring state. Is the transport subsidized? Does this make the product cheaper with every kilometer driven? Yes! It can be. Now it is logical, if completely unclear. Thank you very much!

Is it scary? No! Granted, it scares me. But where there are people, mistakes happen. The patterns are always the same, because the temptation is huge for those who sit at the feeding trough. That's how man is knitted. But luckily not everyone. I notice that more and more small groups are emerging, breaking new ground. Issues such as sustainability, resource conservation, biodiversity and much more bring people together for people in a creative exchange. Off the profit. Away from overproduction. A little less is often more.
Who am I? Where am I? What am I and what do I need to be happy?

The solution is in the cradle. One of the biggest tasks of parents is to strengthen the children in their own self to relieve them of the fear of being outside. The fear of not being able to cope and not withstanding the challenges of society. "You're fine the way you are! Welcome to the world. Discover them and make them a better place. Follow your heart and it will succeed. Do not be afraid to start something, give up something, change something. "

"The crowd is not always right. There is no guarantee that the laws of this morning are still relevant. "

It is not more, but not less. The crowd is not always right. There is no guarantee that the laws of this morning are still relevant. History proves it. We are in a constant process of change. It's good! Faith in a better world will lead us to it sooner than the fear that it will go under. Because feared to death, has also died. In this sense: "Let's go. Nothing can happen to us. "Let's look at each other. Have fun!

"Belief in a better world will lead us to it sooner than the fear of it going down."
