At the climax - Column by Gery Seidl

Whatever one can exactly understand by climax, is a simple comprehensive summary statement. Maybe those: you're up there. You have done it. That's the tip. More is not possible.
Be it the orgasmic climax that two lovers may experience together, or is it the long-dreamed appearance of an artist at MTV or in the Royal Albert Hall. Has the mountaineer conquered the last possible eight-thousanders on this planet without oxygen, or was rewarded the brave official at the end of his career with the title "Hofrat". There are experiences on the basis of which one senses: that is all that is possible.

In my field, for example, it can be the punch line. The final point of the joke makes a successful, because it only then shows the absurdity or the story is a radical witty twist.
This is how everyone defines their personal highlights in their lives. Athletes have sensational reporters at their side who do not want to miss the moment of climax. Countless cameras line the edge of the piste to keep an eye out of the way and now drones are also flying to show us the bird's perspective in which he experiences the sensation, which is likely to affect him less than the tense viewer at home on the couch.
Especially the athletes show us again and again that the right attitude, perseverance, diligence and ultimately talent, are a good recipe for achieving a climax. They scratch at the thousandth of a second.
With a different kind of training and tactics, politicians are trying to reach their professional peak. They too are persecuted medially, as the public interest in their actions, their rise or fall is always given.

The more intimate professional highlights are certainly the majority. The waitress who managed to handle the lunch business due to the colleague's failure. The ambulance driver who brought the expectant mother to the maternity ward in time for delivery with blue light and full-tone horn. The heroes who make such a big difference every day. Achieve highlights that only very few realize, and even only when they are attentive.
The conclusion? - Maybe it's important to pay more attention to your own individual highlights. To appreciate successful actions, so that they do not degenerate into the self-image of day-to-day business. The little own shoulder beating.
"You have done well!"
"That's not going to kill you that fast!"
If a television team would accompany you, you would not be alone in celebrating. Or, and that's the downside: many would witness your failure. Often you do not know what is better.

"I think highlights are the salt in the soup. If they did not exist, the day or year might be a single porridge. And: life also means coming to what you no longer need. "

In summary, I think that highlights are the salt in the soup. If they did not exist, the day or year might be a single porridge. I am fully aware that meditation trainers and gurus would contradict me immediately, since the great art is to do NOTHING. Yes, I know, but I'm not that far yet. Life also means to get what you no longer need.
However, what interests me most, after considering the individual aspirations, is our society. Are we at the peak of society or are we still facing a lot?
In history books you can often read about cultures that have gone long ago and that have decayed at their peak. If you reach such a level, is it automatically downhill, or is it a moment that we can easily override when building even higher goals?

That's the way to set goals. A picture of society. A worldview. Peace, Love, Rock and Roll. A world without hunger and war. Freedom of religion, or education for all, to name but a few possible examples.
It takes a vision, zeal, perseverance, and the firm belief that there is one more force in each one of us that can bring this idea to life.
In this sense, I am looking forward to our common climax.
