Educational (in)equity? Which way are we on?
Whether climate crisis or Covid-19 pandemic: The weaknesses of our education system are becoming clear. We are in the midst of social change processes that mean that we do not know what we have to prepare the current generation for. The only thing we know is that what we are doing right now will not necessarily be helpful, says El-Mafalaani in our expert interview with Katarina Roncevic from the Greenpeace education team.
We need an enormous amount of flexibility, we need versatility and we must not leave any child behind if we want to prepare the future generation to shape a future worth living. This must be a task and a goal of our education system!
Note: The interview with Prof. Dr. Aladin El-Mafaalani was executed before the outbreak of the Ukraine War. The war and its effects are therefore not part of this video.
