Can the world still be saved?

📣 On September 28th, the symposium "Can the world still be saved?" by weltumspannendarbeiten and ÖGB will take place. Everything revolves around the mid-term review of the UN goals for sustainable development (Agenda 2030).

🌍 Seven years have passed since the 17 "Sustainable Development Goals" were adopted in September 2015 - just as much time remains to implement the 2030 Agenda. But has the world changed for the better so far? What steps have been taken to reduce poverty, hunger and inequality and to achieve decent work, gender equality, quality education, peace and justice?

🎯 What effects did the corona pandemic have on global development? What can Austria contribute to achieving the goals and what measures could the trade union movement take to be successful in the fight for a better life for all people in the world?

❗ Federal President aD Dr. Heinz Fischer (greeting message), Mag. Hartwig Kirner (FAIRTRADE Austria), NR Petra Bayr (SPÖ), Mag. Mario Micelli (BMAW), Dr. Werner Raza (ÖFSE), MMag. Julia Wegerer (AK/ÖGB), Mag. Bernhard Zlanabitnig (SDGwatch Austria), Johannes Greß (freelance journalist), Konrad Rehling (Südwind), Lena Schilling (climate activist)
