The “Brave Wall” in Berlin Kreuzberg was implemented on the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8, 2021 - in collaboration with the Urban Nation Museum for Urban Contemporary Art. The work of art focuses on women and so-called women human rights defenders.

The motif was designed and designed by the artist Katerina Voronina. It depicts Marielle Franco, a Brazilian human rights activist and councilor for Rio de Janeiro, who was shot dead in the street in March 2018. Marielle Franco campaigned in particular for the rights of women, the black population, young favela residents and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people (LGBTI).
