PENG Papa is dead HAHA

It was a Sunday, my day off, lying in bed for hours and doing nothing. But this Sunday wasn't nothing. I woke up scared. A strange dream that still occupies me today. I went to a big mall and played with a kid there. The last thing I saw before I woke up in shock was this kid pointing a gun at me. I don't understand, I don't know why I dreamed of it either.

Now I feel this dream like an enlightenment, and I have no children at all. I never thought about this topic either.

Weapons are poison for society, they destroy life. Why are there toy weapons? Is the violence a game? Do we want to raise awareness among our children?

We want peace, we dream of living together in harmony one day, but we produce and buy weapons for our children. Some have collections at home.

Do you know that

The child stabs you in the stomach with his sword and you play him the dying person.

You pretend to run away while the kid runs after you with a gun. You play dead because the child shot you and the child is incredibly happy about it. It laughs and feels powerful and you, in turn, enjoy the positive feelings of the children.

Of course, a child will not think about hurting you while playing, but they will feel strong because they have been able to outsmart the adult who is already superior to them. We find it harmless because everything only takes place in a fantasy world. A child doesn't want to obey rules impotently, they want to be a strong decision maker. But honestly, do you really conscientiously educate your children about the weapons every time? After all, they look pretty similar to real guns. Are you really explaining to them enough each time what role weapons play in real life?

We all agree that social factors determine how a child develops. But is it really only the active violence in the parental home, the poor housing situation, the lack of education, or can it also be the trivialized use of toy weapons that can lead to future scenarios of violence?

As banal as this topic may sound, it's worth a thought, two or even three. Think about what to buy for your children, because killing someone should never be a game.

Even if I came to this topic through a dream unrealistic, I would still like to tell you:

If your child shoots an imaginary machine gun without a toy, don't look over it.

  1. Super written! I also think the topic has been chosen very well. It's a different topic with which you can also achieve and improve a lot. Children are our future and if they are taught good values, the world has a chance to become a better place.

  2. This is an article that will make you think! So often we miss these important details in our everyday life and in the present in which we live, so that we often ignore the future. What we see we also reap, and so it is with our children. Thanks for this eye-opening story!

  3. Wow, haven't read something so good for a long time, a topic that you hardly think about although it is really that important. THANK YOU for your really great contribution. I very much hope that you can reach many people with it.
