After 39 years with Menschen für Menschen, Berhanu Negussie says goodbye

After 39 years with Menschen für Menschen, Berhanu Negussie is retiring. As an interpreter, he accompanied Karlheinz Bohm through Ethiopia as early as 1981, the year it was founded, and from 2002 onwards he headed the organization in Ethiopia as country representative. He is now being succeeded by his previous deputy, Yilma Taye, who was previously director of the project implementation department. The organization announced this on Tuesday morning at a press conference in Addis Ababa. Yilma Taye can also look back on many years of experience with Menschen für Menschen. After training as an agricultural engineer and training in Great Britain and Germany, Yilma Taye came to Menschen für Menschen in 1991. In recent years, Yilma Taye, in his position as program director, has been responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing the measures in the project regions. We look forward to the continued fruitful exchange!
