The initiative "KLIMA ° before eight”Was founded in August 2020 in Germany. The non-profit association calls for "a regular (preferably daily) short format at prime time that reports on climate issues." The demand for regular and extensive climate reporting is primarily aimed at public broadcasters, but also at the entire German media landscape - and would not be inappropriate in Austria either.
As an example, the association has already produced six episodes under the title “KLIMA ° vor Acht”. In the five-minute clips, the association shows how it would imagine such reporting. Talks with RTL began in March 2021.
The first three clips can already be seen, another three will follow until the end of May.
