Unprotected water points mean that many children are affected by intestinal parasites. These not only cause diarrhea, vomiting or fever, but can also have a generally negative impact on children's development. That is why the pupils in our project regions are treated twice a year against worms.
In order to stop the disease in the long term, access to safe drinking water is secured and latrines are built.
