Sinn - Editorial by Helmut Melzer

For Darwin, it is reproduction. Religions of this world speak of charity and karma. The troupe of Monty Python can only laugh about it. Only in the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" is the question of the meaning of life clearly answered: 42 - of course.

Do not worry, I'm not trying in a philosophical feat. Only so much: If we treat the subject of secrets in option, as a constructive-critical and idealistic medium, this also has to do with the biggest of all questions: that of a meaning.

For when option informs about sustainable economy, the further development of democracy, social, environmental and animal welfare or conscious consumption, dedicated people are always the focus of reporting. People who are committed to a noble cause and thus give meaning to their lives.

Warrior for the right to information. Promoter of a responsible civil society. Advocate of ecology and protectors of all life. Responsible entrepreneurs. People who, like option, want to support and promote positive developments in our society.

Idealism is not a disease, yet I want to infect you with option a little. Convince yourself that this meaningful, positive pursuit has long become a driving force. Be part of it.

You can do that by helping to establish long-term option - as a subscriber, promoter, advertiser, investor. Give idealism a mouthpiece. Make sense.

"You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you will join us
And the world wants live as one "
(John Lennon)
