High demand for school workshops “Die Erneuerbaren”

With the new school year, the school workshop program "The Renewables" initiated and carried out by IG Windkraft will start again. There is great interest on the part of the schools. Every year around 200 workshops are held by trained pedagogues in elementary schools - 100 in Lower Austria and 20-25 each in Burgenland, Upper Austria, Salzburg and Styria. In the other federal states, a decision has not yet been made on the granting of the funding applied for.

“The aim of the workshops is to address the climate crisis and its negative effects in an educational way. It is important to show that there are solutions and options for action for a sustainable future, as well as to take away the fear of the children. This succeeds with playful education. Last but not least, they should combine a positive feeling with renewables ”, is summarized in a broadcast by IG Windkraft.

With the school program on wilderwind.at, IG Windkraft wants to create playful access to renewable energies (wind, water, sun and biomass) for different school levels and offers information, teaching materials and an online world for hybrid lessons.
