A concerned resident informed animal welfare and the media that several pigeon families were acutely threatened. The city pigeons breed in the old station building in Hard (Vorarlberg), which is now to be demolished. The nestlings and young pigeons should apparently simply be left to die. However, this is prohibited under the Animal Welfare Act.
We will continue to monitor the case and push for an animal welfare-compliant solution!
