Recreational gardeners call for more focus on climate change

Garden and terrace owners in Austria think 'blue'. The protection of water is particularly important to them. This is the result of an IMAS study commissioned by GARDENA: 

  • Sustainability in their own garden is at least rather important to 88% of garden or terrace owners.
  • 82% of them demand that society, business and politics should focus even more on climate change. 
  • For 88% of the participants, the protection of water is the most important area in environmental protection.
  • Almost half of them are convinced that the use of water for irrigation in this country is rather wasteful.
