In Ethiopia, genital mutilation is officially prohibited, but unfortunately - especially in rural regions - it takes many years for harmful traditions like these to actually disappear.
In order to bring about long-term change together, it is important to seek conversation with people and to clarify them without teaching. To this end, religious leaders are also regularly involved. In cooperation with the local health authorities, information is also provided about the effects of other traditions such as early marriage, tattoos and much more.
