With an open letter (see below) on January 18, 2021, the newly founded "Alliance for Responsible Mobile Communications Germany“ to the Federal President, the Federal Chancellor, ministries and politicians of the federal and state governments, the Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS), the Radiation Protection Commission (SSK) and the public. The open letter is a reaction of the alliance to the offensive of the federal government "Germany talks about 5G“ and contains 17 demands for a more health-friendly mobile phone coverage.

Over 190 citizens' initiatives and associations criticize the federal government's 5G dialogue initiative

As a result, over 150 citizens' initiatives signed our open letter. Warning scientific findings and the health complaints of those affected must finally be taken seriously..."

Cell phone radiation is also classified as possibly carcinogenic by the WHO. The latest research also confirms mood and fertility disorders. The citizens' initiatives are particularly outraged that the federal government is refusing a 5G technology impact assessment.
“…The rollout of 5G is an irresponsible field test. No drug would be approved in the present study situation. The Federal Office for Radiation Protection and the Federal Government are violating all the principles of a conscientious precautionary policy and are serving the business models of the industry. With our 17 demands, we are committed to ensuring that the alternatives that exist for radiation minimization and responsible mobile phone coverage are discussed in parliament and implemented by ministries, municipalities and the mobile phone industry..."
The alliance for responsible mobile communications starts as an association
The bvmde has been a registered non-profit association since November 10, 2022.
This means a restructuring of the previous alliance. Now every interested person, every member of a citizens' initiative (BI) and registered associations can become a member of the alliance.
According to the statutes, BIs that are not associations cannot be included as such. Here, the active members should become individual members of the alliance.
Seven reasons for a supporting membership:
- You are part of the Germany and Europe-wide network for our goals - above all, to achieve a radio turnaround with the recognition of biological damage from mobile communications,
- You promote nationwide educational work and political work in order to achieve responsible use of mobile communications for people and nature and the recognition of the environmental disease EHS.
- You will be invited to regular alliance calls with a lively exchange of information and experiences.
- You are very welcome to actively participate in the working groups and projects of the bvmde and to give your voice weight.
- You will receive our newsletter with current information.
- You get access to the internal area of our website with special information.
- You are part of a growing, learning community of like-minded people who share their experiences and thereby increase their skills.
Supporting members are invited to the annual general meetings of the association - but have no voting rights. The right to vote can be applied for at the MGV upon informal application to the Board of Directors
The membership fees of the bvmde are deliberately low at 1 €/month so that they do not represent a hurdle for anyone. But the association needs donations to cover its running costs.
As a non-profit association, both membership fees and additional donations are tax-deductible. The account statement is sufficient for the tax office to recognize up to €300. If you donate more than €200 per year, you will automatically receive a donation receipt from us.
