Today is this year's German Overshoot Day: From January 1st to May 4th, we used on average as much of nature as the planet would make available by the end of the year.
If everyone lived like we Germans, we would need a total of 2,9 Earths and the global Earth Overshoot Day would be today, May 04.05th. In 2021, this fell on July 29.07, when it will be this year is not yet certain.
There are many ways to move the date - #MoveTheDate - above all the end of linear business models that ruthlessly overuse the resources of our planet and leave mountains of rubbish behind. We need a real circular economy and a resource-saving lifestyle for everyone.
