This Wednesday morning Greenpeace submitted our public complaint to the Federal Council and Parliament in Bern regarding climate-damaging financial flows.
With the complaint, over 23 people are calling on politicians and the authorities to take urgent regulatory measures so that the cash flows in the Swiss financial center support the transition to a climate-neutral global economy.
Greenpeace activists brought three huge sculptures of the three (un) wise monkeys with them. Instead of monkey hands, banknotes cover the figures' eyes, ears and mouth. They symbolize the authorities who do not see, do not hear and do not want to act.
🔥💰🌍 Politicians must set binding climate targets for financial actors and ensure that they comply with regulations.
